All our projects are related to different disciplines under the realm of phylogenetic systematics and evolution. Our interest is to unravel anatomical character evolution and diversification, especially the formation and evolution of complex anatomies and the transition between growth forms. To address these questions, we have been working with different plant families, but with emphasis in Malpighiaceae and Bignoniaceae. Below follow my lab’s main projects:
