Lívia is a PhD candidate at São Paulo State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho” (UNESP), where she conducts research on lianas of the Cerrado biome, particularly in cerradão phytophysiognomies. As part of her sandwich PhD program, she investigates anatomical variations in the wood of different liana species, with emphasis on structural modifications associated with cambial and procambial activity, as well as the presence of ectopic cambia.

Driven by scientific curiosity and a strong commitment to knowledge production, she seeks not only to deepen her academic training but also to strengthen cooperation between Brazil and Mexico through the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and scientific practices.
